Charm City Water Biller was developed from start to finish during the weekend for the 5th annual Baltimore Hackathon. I live here and need to know when a new bill has been posted by the city - and they don't support accounts or email. I'm too lazy to set a calendar reminder or check periodically. So I built a process to automate it!
This system was built on the back of my previous experience as a .NET developer, and a desire to learn the limits of quick serverless projects. The main technologies at play are: GitLab CI, Terraform, AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, .NET Core, and PhantomJS. This website is built in a CI/CD pipeline built and deployed on every commit, with the ability to handle thousands of requests at scale - and I haven't spun up a single server.
